Nature Spells - preliminary sketches

In this post I'll show you the preliminary sketches for the Nature Spells, drawn by Luis Octavio NB.
The Bear Strength spell was originally featuring the barbarian. I was considering to use this set as a II level spells for the elf, so asked him to change the barbarian for the elf. Also, this spell can be used only on yourself and the barbarian can't cast spells.

The image with the faeries were already used for the Tyrant's Tomb questpack (a huge project by Pancho from High Adventure in a World of Magic blog and a member of YeOldeInn forum) as an extra Elf spell, Summon Faeries. It was then re-used to fit into this set too as they are very similar. First drawing was featuring naked faeries, but they are dressed in the final version of the card.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, the rear of the cards: the first tree was looking on his side. Since I wanted to make it matching the style of the the original elemental spells it was decided to make a new one looking frontal.
